Best Dressed at the Met Gala 2017

It’s awards season and that means that  every celebrity you’ve ever heard off will be strutting along a red carpet at some point. The most recent occasion goes to the Met Gala, which was held on the 1st May 2017. Although it is technically a fundraising event, the team here at Casamia Exclusive are always looking for an excuse to nail down the best dressed at any event! Here are the top two celebrities who nailed the ‘Comme des Garçons’ theme…

  1. Rihanna

The theme of the evening paid homage to Japanese designer Rei Rawajubo who has said on record that she ‘doesn’t care about function at all’ and, judging from Rihanna’s look, we can confirm this. Rawajubo makes creations that resemble structures and the Barbadian singer is one of the few attendees who actually nailed the dress code. Opting for a sculptural floral 3D gown, the pop star paired her choice with a top knot and bangs and it’s safe to say she definitely stole the show.

  1. Katy Perry

Opting for a gown which was custom designed from sheer tulle and silk chiffron by designer John Galliano, Katy Perry definitely managed to channel Rawajubo’s theme. Although it looked like something you might have thrown together the night before in a last minute panic, the experts say that Katy managed to fully immerse herself into the theme and do it justice.

We may not have the extravagant gowns here at Casamia Exclusive- however fashion is definitely our forte and our range of women’s clothing is stylish enough to help any lady rock a red carpet! Get in contact with a member of the team to find out more information today!
